High Country Soccer Mission Statement
Updated February 2023
The mission of HCSA is to provide an optimal soccer environment in which every player can develop to their fullest potential regardless of their gender, age, skill level or financial capabilities. Our goals are to provide opportunities for every child and adult who wants to play soccer and serve Summit County by building an innovative participant driven soccer organization. We envision the Association as a community development tool; one that brings together people from all backgrounds and cultures in a fun, healthy and safe soccer environment.
In 2001, Amy Machin-Ward, a four time collegiate national champion and member of the U.S. Women’s National Soccer Team began High Country Soccer. The organization started with a few teams in a loose organization. Today, the organization serves almost 2,000 participants from Tots to adults in over ten different recreational and competitive soccer programs. In 2002, High Country Soccer was granted 501(c) 3 status.
